What’s New with Oracle Hospitality eLearning!

Oracle Hospitality Solution Enablemement Digital Learning

   UPDATED: Wednesday 17 February 2021

Greetings and Happy New Year!

First, we would like to Thank You for being an OPERA eLearning Customer! With this new year, we have some exciting news to announce. The Oracle Hospitality Solution Enablement Team has been working hard on creating a new user experience for our customers.

We are excited to launch Oracle Hospitality OPERA Digital Learning, powered by Oracle University.

Oracle Hospitality OPERA Digital Learning is an Oracle Cloud Learning Subscriptions (OUCLS). This next-gen platform allows us to provide our customers with expanded content, using the power of an Oracle Cloud platform.
All existing OPERA eLearning Customers will be transitioned from the legacy LMS to the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Digital Learning environment with an expected completion by Wednesday, 31 March, 2021. The legacy platform will be sunset on this date and users will no longer be able to access this system.
All New OPERA Digital Learning Customers will be activated in OUCLS beginning in January 2021.
  Orientation Webinars
We will be hosting Orientation Webinar Sessions for Digital Learning Program Managers. These site contacts will receive a ‘Save the Date’ email to register for these sessions. In order to be provided with your unique Activation Link for Digital Learning, at least one member from your property must attend an Orientation Session.
These sessions will provide an introduction to OPERA Digital Learning, demonstration of the system, and an opportunity to ask our team questions.  This information will allow you to be in a better position to be informed as the transition to this next-gen platform. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are 1 hour.
Please be on the lookout for the ‘Save the Date’ email from with your webinar signup options.
  OPERA Digital Learning Information
  - To increase security, each user will be required to establish an Oracle Single Sign On (SSO) to access the content. This is the same login security that all Oracle Employees, Partners, and Customers use to access secure sites, such as MyOracle Support and other Oracle University subscriptions.
  Devices and Browsers
  - Content will be available as MP4/HTML5, providing users more device options for playback and the flexibility to take courses anywhere.
  - The move to OUCLS also eliminates the dependency of using Flash on browsers. Adobe is no longer supporting Flash and is aggressively disabling their product.
  User History and Logins
  - User history will not transferred to the OUCLS platform. Program Managers will have the opportunity to pull reporting from the current platform for your records.
  - With the implementation on Single Sign On, the process of user creation and management will change. Existing legacy LMS user email addresses cannot be transitioned to the new platform.
  - Once in a course individuals will be able to use the caption/subtitle option to select from 12 languages + English to review content. This will be on-screen text (closed captioning / sub titles). Audio and screens will not be translated.
An in depth FAQ will be covered during the webinar sessions and will be available on the Digital Learning website in the future.
If you have questions prior to your transition to OPERA Digital Learning, you can still contact us using the Contact Us link or via email at Once your property has been activated in OUCLS, please use the options on the Digital Learning website or email us at
We look forward with providing you with this new, exciting platform in 2021!
  Kind Regards,

OPERA Digital Learning Team
