Adobe announced the End of Life (EOL) for Flash Player which was originally understood to mean that Adobe would no longer issue Flash Player updates or security patches. We expected this would have a slight impact on content delivery but did not anticipate Adobe disabling their product altogether. Beginning on January 12, 2021 Adobe will block Flash content from running.
What this means for you is that some courses will be unable to play on this legacy platform.
OPERA 5 Customers
To allow users to continue taking OPERA 5 (PMS and S&C) courses, we have made them available as videos. Although these videos will not track user progress to show completion, you can still take quizzes for each course.
OPERA 5 customers will soon receive emails with an invitation to attend an Orientation Webinar in preparation for the transition to Oracle Hospitality OPERA Digital Learning.
OPERA Cloud Customers
Courses translated into French, Spanish, German, or Japanese will be unable to play in the legacy system. Customers that were assigned OPERA Cloud courses in these languages should have already received an email from Oracle Hospitality Solution Enablement (firstname.lastname@example.org) with an invitation to attend one of our OPERA Digital Learning webinars. Our new Digital Learning platform will have access to on-screen captions/subtitles in 12 languages + English.
